Legend has it that delegates were invited to Joel Lane's home for a Cherry Bounce, and the next day they chose Lane's land over Isaac Hunter's tavern as the site of the capital.

That part is true. But what if this drink continued to live in and with Raleigh ever since the city's founding as a beloved, sugary, carbonated, beverage? This is where the fiction begins.
